Brake Lathes

The Combination Lathe With The Right Combination of Speed and Value

AMMCO's new Model 3860 brake lathe is for shops that need speed, disc/drum versatility, and low maintenance operation.

This is a new design that incorporates many "Voice of the Customer" features that shops have told us they wanted to see in a lathe. We listened, and we built a brake lathe that works for a broad range of businesses.

The Model 3860 lathe features negative rake tools that greatly increases the life of cutting bits. A new chip diversion guard system keeps metal shavings out of the operating mechanisms of the unit, stopping hang-ups and cutting maintenance. The 3860 has been designed for faster setup between drum and rotor operation, and easier drum machining.

Training an operator to handle a wide range of brake jobs with the 3860 is a fast, simple process. As is running the lathe in your day to day business.

Key Features

• Negative rake tools for longer bit life

• Chip diversion guard system cuts maintenance

• Fast drum/rotor switching

• Simplified Training
